Purpose
The purpose of the Internal Auditing (IA) Department is to assist the District in safeguarding its resources by promoting an economical, efficient, and effective business and customer service environment based on sound and practical internal controls.
Mission
The mission of the Internal Auditing Department is to provide independent, objective assurance and consulting services designed to add value and improve the organization’s operations. It assists the Cumberland County School District in accomplishing its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of governance, risk management, and internal controls.
